Benchmark US stock indices including the 30 component Dow Jones industrial Average, Nasdaq Composite index and Standard and Poor 500 are down today as weak US economic data and European economy worries shattered investor confidence, thus making them to sell stocks.
Gauge of future U.S. economic activity fell in April for the first time in seven months and the Philadelphia Fed business conditions index hit its lowest since September. Meanwhile news from spain jolted the investors further as reports about people withdrawing 1 billion euros over the past week from Spanish leading banks added further to investors voes.
Dow Jones industrial average is down by 67.59 points at 12,530.96. The
Standard & Poor's 500 Index is down 9.05 points at 1,315.75. The tech heavy index
Nasdaq Composite Index is also down by 31.37 points at 2,842.67.

Major US stock indices including the 30 component Dow Jones Industrial Average, Nasdaq Composite index and Standard and Poor 500 opened higher today as strong economic data along with Euro zone optimism helped in boosting US investor sentiments today. U.S. industrial production posted its fastest growth in over a year this April
The 30 component
Dow Jones industrial average is up by 38.52 points at 12,670.52. The
Standard & Poor's 500 Index is up 6.00 points at 1,336.66. The tech heavy
Nasdaq Composite Index is also up by 10.66 points at 2,904.42.
Benchmark US Stock indices including 30 component Dow Jones Industrial Average, tech heavy Nasdaq Composite index opened higher as jobless claims declined for month of april 2012, Weak outlook by Cisco systems pulled the Nasdaq composite index lower.
Dow Jones Industrial Average DJIA is up by 17.60 points at 12,852.66.
Twenty-one of the DJIA 30 components rose, with Cisco Systems CSCO -10.54% the largest weight, sliding 8.8% after the maker of computer-networking equipment offered a disappointing outlook. The broader index
S&P 500 climbed by 2.77 points at 1,357.35. The tech heavy
Nasdaq Composite is down by 6.43 points at 2,928.28.

Benchmark US stock indices including 30 component Dow Jones Industrial Average, Nasdaq Composite index and Standard and Poor 500 opened lower today as investor mood dampens over european economic worries and election results of France.
Hence the downward momentum of major indices continues into second day today. The
Dow Jones industrial average is down by 40.38 points at 12,997.89. The broader index
Standard & Poor's 500 also declining by 1.55 points at 1,367.55. The tech heavy
Nasdaq Composite Index is down by 1.84 points at 2,954.50. Worries over Europe have helped to drive weakness in U.S. equities in recent months, with investors concerned about its effects on global growth and corporate profits.
Major world stock indices remained mixed today, benchmark US indices including Dow Jones Industrial Average, Nasdaq Composite index are trading in red currently. Major european stock indices inclusing FTSE 100, DAX and CAC40 are almost flat with DAX and CAC40 currently in red. Major Asian stock indices also closed in red today.
